InFinBank, LBBW and Alyans Auto signed an agreement on a project to produce Volkswagen cars in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT - June 19, 2026 - InFinBank, the German bank Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) and Alyans Auto signed a trilateral cooperation agreement. The document defines the framework for cooperation in implementing a project to import components and subsequently localize the production of Volkswagen (VW) vehicles in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The project is aimed at organizing the supply of components from VW Group Import Company Limited for large-unit (SKD) assembly, with a gradual increase in the share of localization within the republic. The parties’ interaction involves the use of trade financing instruments, where InFinBank will issue reserve letters of credit (SBLC) in separate tranches according to delivery schedules. The German bank LBBW will act as the confirming bank for SBLC issues in accordance with international banking practice and the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The signing of the memorandum establishes the parties’ intentions to create an effective financial structure for the successful launch and phased development of the industrial project.
