A large-scale readers' competition was held in the Bagdad district of the Fergana region

A creative competition dedicated to the historical novel "Yaldo Night" by the People's Writer of Uzbekistan, Khayriddin Sulton, took place at secondary school No. 27 in the Bagdad district of the Fergana region.



The event, aimed at promoting reading among youth, was held in two stages:

Written essay — participants shared their reflections on the work's deep philosophical and historical significance.

Oral Q&A — connoisseurs of the novel competed on their knowledge of plot details and character portrayals.

The creative works and responses were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges. The chief guests and judges of the competition were the People's Poet of Uzbekistan, Iqbol Mirzo, and the Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Azizbek Anvarjonovich Turdiyev. They personally identified the winners and presented them with well-deserved awards, noting the students' high level of preparation and the importance of studying national literature.
